Royal Doulton Old King Cole Yellow Crown Music Jug Box 1939 Extremely Rare

Here for sale we offer a Royal Doulton Old King Cole Musical Jug Box. This Music Box has the Rare Yellow Crown Jug for its character with the Grey handle. It is fully marked on the bottom with all the Royal Doulton marks. The Jug works & all the levers & brass pieces are in working & very fine condition. This Art Pottery piece was made at the Royal Doulton studio's in 1939 only. It is the rarest coloration.

The designer was Harry Fenton. Listed in The Original Price Guide to Royal Doulton Discontinued Character Jugs Book. The 6th edition by Princess & Barry Weiss. This Box has its original Thorens of Switzerland mechanizum. The song played is Old King Cole Was a Merry Old Soul.

This particular piece was all hand painted by a trained Doulton Artist of the day. It is very colorful & well done. There are no chips, cracks nor repairs. The Jug is in Mint Condition. Please check out our pictures for a better visual description.
