Snow Village Cathedral Church-Extremely Rare-5067-4 (1980-1981)-Excellent
You are viewing one of the rarest design in the Snow Village Series, a Department 56. Which was introduced in 1980 and retired in 1981. Back in that time, retirements were announced in the spring, so this piece was only in the 1980 brochure. As the last photo indicates from the collectors book, this was an extremely complicated piece to produce in 1980 and there were many production problems which led to early retirement. This particular piece is in wonderful shape with the only noted flaw being some firing cracks on the bottom occurring when the piece was produced.
Those look to have been stabilized at the time of production with glaze and some ceramic fill. On the displayed portion there are no chips or cracks noted. Use the "Add to cart" feature.
